How It All Started
I started my career as a Customer Service Executive at Sutherland, Mumbai. At that time, I didn’t have a plan. The salary wasn’t much, and I didn’t think the job suited me. So, I began searching for online earning options. It was while searching that I came across blogging and creating YouTube videos.
First Steps- Blogging & YouTube
I launched my first blog using Google’s Blogger platform with a free domain. I wrote about spirituality, mysteries, and consciousness topics. I had over 30 articles on my blog, when I applied for Google AdSense, and after a week, I got an email that they had refused my AdSense approval.
First Online Earning - Content Writing
I did not give up, I tried freelance content writing. I found my first client through a Facebook group. It was a small project that involved writing for a bike helmet store in Hyderabad, and I got paid ₹500 using Google Pay for the work. That small payment filled me with confidence and proved to me that I could earn online.
Second Attempt at Blogging
Feeling encouraged, I started another blog (nikkfact.in), I purchased a domain and hosting. This time again I did mistakes, I started writing about spirituality, Unsolved Mysteries,4th Dimensional beings. Again, Google rejected my AdSense approval.
I then found a mentor, who lives in Pune, India (I met him via Telegram), and he gave me some honest advice:
“Google likes helpful content. Write on topics that solve problems or provide value, to their searchers, in niches like tech, finance, or marketing.“
I deleted all my old posts and created 40+ new blog articles focusing on money tips, and technology. After 14 days I received an email that my blog was monetized. I was so happy and motivated this time.
Learning SEO with Real Struggles
Although my blog was approved by AdSense but my website has poor traffic. I realized my skills when it came to SEO were very basic and didn’t include things like proper keyword research and understanding the Google Algorithm. After low traffic and low motivation came back, again, I decided to stop blogging and YouTube.
But at this time, I have acquired many skills such as writing SEO friendly content, Video editing, Content Creation, designing through Canva, and basic Website setup.
Discovering Digital Marketing as a Career
After a few months, the project I was working on got shut down. I saw this as a sign to switch my career. I asked myself: “Why not do something I like…and make money off it?” That’s when I discovered Digital Marketing. It seemed to be the right fit as I could combine all of my experiences – SEO, content writing, video editing, and creativity.
Completed my Digital Marketing Certification
I enrolled in a 6 month Digital Marketing Course at LIPS India (Borivali). After completing the course, I got my first few jobs in this domain:
- Internship as a Social Media Intern at Crystal Divine
- Job as an Amazon SEO Specialist at Advertisingsaga
- Full-time job as a Digital Marketing Executive at Vision IT
Current Role – SEO Specialist & WordPress Website developer at Education Street
Today, I work as an SEO Specialist and WordPress Developer at Education Street, a study abroad consultancy based in Mumbai. I handle:
- Technical SEO
- On-Page and Off-Page SEO
- WordPress Website Development
- Content Writing and Optimization
Freelance Projects – Working with Indian & International Clients
Alongside my job, I also work with international clients to strong my portfolio in SEO and help them improve their website and SEO. Some projects I’ve worked on:

What I Learned- Be a T-Shaped Marketer
This journey taught me that you need to be a T-shaped marketer in digital marketing.
That means:
- Master one skill deeply – for me, that’s SEO
- But also know surrounding skills – like WordPress, content, analytics, Googe Ads etc.
I have failed many times but each failure was a lesson. Today I am helping businesses grow online with strategic SEO and clean, optimized websites. My journey is just beginning, and I wanted to be a best SEO Expert in India, along with I wanted to learn other domain of digital marketing also.
